Over the past few years we have been delivering adventure activity programmes in two further areas, Mid Wales and the Yorkshire Dales.
Our Mid Wales provision is centred on our residential centre in the Cambrian Mountains and utilises the wild mountain country of Plumlimon and southern Snowdonia.
The whole Cambrian Mountain range, running along the Powys – Ceredigion border from the Brecon Beacons to Snowdonia, is the unspoilt gem of upland Britain.
In contrast to the National Parks, the hills & mountains, lakes & rivers, forests & moors are rarely visited. There is little pressure on the land, resulting in relatively unhindered access throughout the area. The area is laced with rights of way, and much of the area is designated as open access land under the CRoW act, so the mountain biking, walking & hill running in the area is only limited by your imagination [& your stamina!].
We have access to sailing, canoeing, kayaking, rowing and improvised rafting on the 6 mile long Llyn Clywedog, and can offer white water rafting at the National Centre near Bala..
Although just over an hour from the end of the M54 [linking to the M6 & West Midlands motorway network], the unhurried Cambrian Mountains feel a world away. Even on Cadair Idris or the Arans in Southern Snowdonia there are no crowds, and a feeling of being in a wild and natural landscape.
