The Old Weather Station provides the ideal training venue, with deserted roads over hills & high passes, excellent road surfaces and endless possibilities for training.
Powys has some of the best roads in the UK, despite the hard winter you can ride on miles of smooth tarmac, free of pot-holes.
The summit of the mountain road running over to Machynlleth has been resurfaced during the winter - they must have had to clear the snow off to do the job! It is typical of the local roads - great surfaces with minimal damage because we get so little traffic.
If the roads here don't inspire you to get out and ride then nothing will.
