Foundry Mountain Activities

The Hafren Forest, Plumlumon hills and shores of Llyn Clywedog provide excellent walking and running, with numerous marked trails and large areas of open access land under the CRoW act, Tir Gofal & Tir Cymen. There are also a number of long & medium distance walking routes passing close by including the Severn Way, Glyndwr's Way and the Sarn Sabrina.

The Hafren Forest and surrounding hills provide almost endlesspossibilities for mountain bikers. There are marked trails at Nant Yr Arian, Machynlleth, and slightly further north the world renowned Coed Y Brenin. There is also excellent cross country riding around Rhayader, Cwm Ystwyth and Radnor.

Mid Wales is blessed with a wealth of quality kayaking rivers with few access issues. There is also good surfing / surf kayaking on the coast and broad the estuaries of the Dovey & Mawddach for canoeing. Llyn Clywedog offers excellent sailing with a friendly sailing club based on its shores.
