Spider Club
Club for 7 to 10 year olds
The club is intended for young climbers to get involved in climbing using “Top Rope climbing” and “Bouldering”.
Using the NICAS scheme as a guide the club has an engaging syllabus.
The aim of the club is to provide a fun but safe environment where kids can not only learn to climb but learn about the wider world of climbing as well.
For the more able climbers there is plenty of scope for progression as the experienced staff are able to assess the climbers’ ability and stretch them as far as they are comfortable. The Foundry walls are set by experienced, professional route setters and various levels of climb are available on each rope making it easy for the instructors to get the club members to climb at a level commensurate with the climber’s abilities.
In the Spring and Summer months the club is offered the opportunity of climbing and bouldering on the world renowned local gritstone outcrops in the Peak District West of Sheffield.
