Our directors and instructors have a depth of experience in their various adventure activities and are often out there enjoying adventures. We are in business because it’s great to create courses and events that benefit our customers in very positive ways.
Adrian Roberts
Adrian is a director of FMA. He has been leading groups in adventure for over 25 years, and heads our outdoor education and residential programmes provision. He is a qualified teacher and has a detailed understanding of adventure education. Active in a wide range of adventure sports including sailing, kayaking, climbing and mountain biking, he is a keen triathlete and has represented Britain at European and World competitions.
Adrian holds the MIA and WML qualifications and is a member of AMI, AHOEC, NAHT and IOL.
Tim Gould
Tim is a director of FMA. His career has combined account management for a global corporate and instructing climbing and mountaineering around the world. He mainly focusses on rock climbing and caving but also enjoys road biking and fell running. Tim leads our indoor climbing at The Foundry, outdoor climbing skills and corporate teambuilding.
Tim holds the MIA and WML qualifications, along with BA(Hons) and DipOA Adventure Activities.

Cath ClarkeCath is FMA’s residential programme coordinator. Her depth of experience in colleges and youth development enables her to support our customers’ needs in detail, ensuring quality of planning and delivery. She is a keen mountain biker, sailor, skier and has completed a number of long distance wild swims.
